Fourth Day Filming 9/12/15



 

Wednesday 9/12/15

Today we went back to Muswell Hill (Onslow Gardens) to reshoot some of our footage. We decided to do this because the shot of the church and religious billboard (our establishing shots) were very shaky and uneven. Then we reshot the scene of the killer taking out the "weapons" because when we looked back at our rough layout of our footage we realized that we had shot the taking out of the objects separately so it didn't show continuity and made it look harsh due to weird transition between the two shots. Making sure the footage was recorded, we looked at all the footage to make sure we didn't have anything else that looked wrong. Lastly, we shot the scene of the extras (normal people walking in the forest, crossing paths with the killer) and then we finished all our shooting. 

 

 

 



Third Day Editing 7/12/15

Wednesday 7/12/15

 

Today was the third day editing, we each focused on different aspects of our title sequence from, making sure our blog was up to date and transferring and looking over the sound we plan to use for our sequence. The main aspect was the editing of our sequence, we put the shots that we filmed (saturday 5th) in the correct order which was important due to the range of close ups we filmed . We found that there are some close ups which we have to re-shoot, This is due to the camera being paused while filming . we plan to re-shoot on (wednesday 9th) this will be our last day of filming , we hope to have all the shots needed by this date.

Third Day Filming 5/12/15

Saturday 5/12/15

Today we continued to film in Muswell Hill"Onslow Gardens"

We focused on filming our main character (Kusheda Begum). We shot close ups and extreme close ups so our title sequence has a range of different shots. We also shot a digging scene where we had to make sure we kept all the props exactly were they were when changing the position of the camera  to show continuity. Finally we filmed the ending scene which was a long shot.

Some problems we faced while filming was interruptions. As this is a common forest for walking dogs we had to stop filming at times, also due to the unstable ground Kusheda fell . This emphasises the importance of paying attention and we will take this will be taken in to consideration during future filming

Next time we film(9th December) we aim to re shoot some establishing shots.

Second Day Editing 2/12/15

Wednesday 2/12/15

Last lesson we asked Louisa to sign a release form for equipment we intended to film on wednesday at Muswell Hill for the lesson and be back around 2pm to hand back the equipment. We also told Rebbecca but we made the mistake of not making a formal blog post or email her in advanced so she would know where we were.

On wednesday we planned to meet at 10:30 at Muswell Hill. However there was severe traffic which we were told by one of the drivers would last for another 2+ hours and every 43 bus was terminating at Angel. By this time we had noticed the weather had dramatically changed which intern would affect the continuity of our opening title as we had previously filmed with the tone being so dim. Due to this we were forced to cancel the planned filming.

In the light of this we used the time he had left to finish editing the establishing shoots we filmed when we were in Muswell hill, which we have now completed.

Saturday 5/12/15

On Saturday at 10am, we are going meet up at Muswell Hill where we plan to start shooting the action footage. We are going to film a variation of camera shoots such as canted shots, close ups and extreme close ups. We intend to film all of this footage on saturday however if we do need any extra time we will also spend next wednesday filming any final shots.
