Today we are planning on finishing our title sequence. We aim to complete the titles, layer sounds and to go over our edit in order to make all our match cuts are edited correctly. We used copyright free music to find some of our foley sounds, such as the wind rustling and the birds chirping and figuring out what effects made them sound more realistic rather then being slapped on. We also played around with the output to change how prominent the sounds were.

Monday 18th Editing
We are trying to make our sound better by adding a sound bridge. We want to make the music that the main character listens through headphones to turn into a diegetic sound from foley. Hopefully we will have done all our sound today and most of our title credits.
We are adding foley sounds to emphasise the setting and surroundings, but we are also adding background music to help set the scene and give the audience a sense of the genre.

13. Analyse 3 title sequences (Macro, Micro)
Wild Wild West
Micro Analysis
Camera:
In the Wild Wild West tile sequence we see the use of close ups, extreme close ups, medium shot & low angle shots.
Editing:
The editing of the title sequence is made to cut from one scene to another rapidly. They have also added red filters into the scenes. The use of fade to black transitions are used throughout the sequence and they've incorporated multiple shots in one scene.
Mise-en-scene:

Rough Cut 2 Feedback:
Feedback:
Good shot types of the scenery and looks and sounds nice in terms of making it look normal and setting the scene. We intend to add an eerie and up tempo sound during the second half to show the transition in the atmosphere, we are also going to add music for when we see her put her headphones in. We are also going to add more foley sounds, for the crunching of the leaves, blowing of the wind and other regular sounds. We need to also add eerie sound effects to create tension.
We need to change the font of our title credits as the font we had chosen is actually used for other uses and wouldn't be usually seen in films. We got feedback that it would make more sense to use a basic font instead. We are going to shorten our establishing shots and lengthen the shots that are more significant. We were told the ending of our sequence was effective as throughout the sequence we follow our main character but the last shot leaves the audience in the forest as she walks a
way. The glasses were the very last shot and the feedback said it shows she left them making the audience question what will happen next and if she gets caught.

Monday 11/1/16 Editing
Today we carried on with our editing by fixing some shots, cutting them down and adding in transition in between shots. We reflected on what sound choices we had and thought about foley and non-digetic sounds.

Wednesday 4/1/16 Filming & Editing
On Wednesday, we will be re-shooting a few shots of digging because we wanted to add a bit more detail such as fake blood, and use a shovel instead of a hammer to dig. We will then come back and edit those shots into our film opening as well as cut out a few pointless shots such the hanging rope.
When we got there we realised the would be no need for fake blood as the murders weren't in a method where much bloom would have been visible or was not necessary. We decided to keep the use of a hammer instead of a shovel as it created enigma for the behaviour of the character. We did some more panning shots and then returned to college do carry on with our editing.

Rough cut 1 Feedback
Rough cut 1Feedback
After showing our first rough cut to our media class we where presented with a range of strengths and weaknesses
We had a range of shot types but was advised to add a few more close ups. but overall they said our plot was very clear we just plan on editing some scenes and cutting out some scenes(swinging rope)
Our costumes where really good as it showed the dark behaviour of our main character. Also the use of hammers and weird objects as well as use of ropes created enigma.
The weaknesses were that the shots were quite similar and needed some variation and we need to make the burying of the weapons more descriptive, possibly adding fake blood. some people found the scene of digging with the hammer a bit confusing so we plan on using a gardening shovel
Blog Health Check 3
In response to the feedback given I intend to take time to complete the missing blogs in order to improve my grade ad continue my progress. I will also start sorting my blog timeline in order to make it easier for the external moderator to mark. I have already completed the SWOT analysis and uploaded the picture evidence.
Health Blog Check 3
I understand my blogs don't always include evidence and mostly written feedback for every time we go out to film, or edit. I will put up pictures maybe in a prezi to have the pictures from one day all in one place.
In addition, i understand that i need to blog more frequently and to do more research before putting up a blog. Instead of doing group blogs all the time, i will need to blog individually to reflect on what i have done.

Health check 3
From the feed back given I have updated my blog and posted a self audit to help check the progress of my blog. I plan on completing blog posts 26 and 27 over the coming days, once i complete these blogs i will re-organise my blogs so they make sense to the moderator
